Meet Jenn
Jenn is a colorist with 31 years of experience.
She loves coming in to work every day at Salon MK. Jenn says, “It’s new. It’s vibrant. It’s family. It’s everything you’d want in a salon.”
Meet Linda
Linda tells us she has been working “a long time, over 30 years” in the beauty field. She has done “everything, just about,” in the salons where she’s worked.
When asked what she loves about Salon MK, she says “Everything. I love the environment, I love the people.
It’s warm. It feels like home.”
Meet Lisa
Lisa has a very experienced hair professional with 40 years of experience.
The North Babylon resident cuts hair, does keratin treatments, updos, some color; pretty much the whole gamut of the hairdressing business.
When discussing Salon MK I, she said, “I love it. It’s calm. We were a family before, and now we feel like we’re a family again.
“It’s such a beautiful place to work. And it’s so nice to be back here together.”
Meet Lucy
Lucy (or “Lulu” as she likes being called) is a very experienced hair colorist with over 35 years of experience.
Lulu tells us that working at Salon MK is “Stress-free. it’s beautiful. It’s just a happy environment. It’s relaxing, and it’s what we were used to,” when working together with so many of the staff at the same location.
“It’s a family. It’s our family.”
Meet Kyra
Kyra graduated from beauty school and began her journey at a salon as an assistant in 2022! Since then, she’s been working her way up to becoming a hairstylist and is truly passionate about helping clients feel confident and beautiful when they leave her chair. She currently specializes in blowouts, women’s haircuts and styles customized to your lifestyle!
Kyra says that Salon MK has been such a welcoming environment filled with amazing stylists and wonderful clientele — it truly feels like a second home!
Meet Marina
Marina has many years of experience in customer service for the airline industry, and she built her career around creating positive, memorable experiences for people from all walks of life. After stepping away to focus on raising her children, she explored a creative path as a freelance model representing fragrance companies.
Life eventually led her to the beauty industry when she was approached to join a hair salon team — and she’s been there ever since. Working in the salon allows her to combine her strong customer service background with her love for connecting with people. She truly enjoys meeting new clients every day and helping create a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Meet Daisy
Daisy Villalobos has 10 years of experience; she started young as a stylist's assistant, attended beauty school, and has now been a stylist for six years. She performs almost every service within the beauty field but specializes primarily in blowouts, hairstyling, and haircuts.

Meet Lochana
Hey everyone, I’m Lochana! I’ve been in the beauty industry for 4+ years and I genuinely love making people feel good about themselves through hair. I’m a licensed cosmetologist and also have my BS degree, which has helped me grow both professionally and personally. One of my favorite parts of the job is talking with clients, building real connections, and seeing how happy and confident they feel after their appointment. Making women feel beautiful and comfortable is one of the most fulfilling parts of my job.
Meet Teresa
With over 22 years of experience in the beauty industry, Teresa Medina is a highly respected Master Colorist known for creating customized, dimensional hair color that enhances each client’s individual beauty. As a Regional Educator for Goldwell, Teresa has trained and collaborated with some of the industry’s most talented artists while staying at the forefront of color innovation and education.
Her work has been recognized by Estetica Magazine, one of the beauty industry’s leading publications, highlighting her dedication to excellence, creativity, and technical expertise. Throughout her career, Teresa has worked alongside renowned hairstylists, continually refining her craft and bringing advanced color techniques to her clients.
Known for her attention to detail, passion for education, and commitment to delivering exceptional results, Teresa specializes in blonding, lived-in color, color corrections, dimensional brunettes, and personalized transformations designed to fit each client’s lifestyle.
Today, Teresa continues to inspire both clients and fellow stylists through her artistry, education, and unwavering dedication to the beauty industry.
Meet Teresa
Teresa has been a hairstylist in Plainview for 34 years. Her clientele consists of women, men and children of all ages. Teresa also enjoys doing weddings, proms and any special occasion.
She said working at Salon MK is like coming home again. “I feel great working at this wonderful salon where people walk in as clients, and leave feeling like family.
Meet Jianna
I am a graduate of Brittany Beauty School and have been doing hair for over a year. I love helping clients feel confident and beautiful while creating looks that enhance their natural beauty and fit their individual style. What I love most about Salon MK is the welcoming atmosphere, the supportive team, and the opportunity to make every guest feel comfortable, cared for, and confident when they leave my chair.
