Meet Jenn
Jenn is a colorist with 31 years of experience.
She loves coming in to work every day at Salon MK. Jenn says, “It’s new. It’s vibrant. It’s family. It’s everything you’d want in a salon.”
Meet Linda
Linda tells us she has been working “a long time, over 30 years” in the beauty field. She has done “everything, just about,” in the salons where she’s worked.
When asked what she loves about Salon MK, she says “Everything. I love the environment, I love the people.
It’s warm. It feels like home.”
Meet Lisa
Lisa has a very experienced hair professional with 40 years of experience.
The North Babylon resident cuts hair, does keratin treatments, updos, some color; pretty much the whole gamut of the hairdressing business.
When discussing Salon MK I, she said, “I love it. It’s calm. We were a family before, and now we feel like we’re a family again.
“It’s such a beautiful place to work. And it’s so nice to be back here together.”
Meet Lucy
Lucy (or “Lulu” as she likes being called) is a very experienced hair colorist with over 35 years of experience.
Lulu tells us that working at Salon MK is “Stress-free. it’s beautiful. It’s just a happy environment. It’s relaxing, and it’s what we were used to,” when working together with so many of the staff at the same location.
“It’s a family. It’s our family.”
Meet Madison
Madison, a Plainview native, graduated from Long Island Beauty School in August of 2025. Salon MK is her first job in the beauty industry.
“I love it. It’s an amazing industry. I’m surrounded by amazing people here. It’s such a great place to work.”
Meet Marina
Marina has many years of experience in customer service for the airline industry, and she built her career around creating positive, memorable experiences for people from all walks of life. After stepping away to focus on raising her children, she explored a creative path as a freelance model representing fragrance companies.
Life eventually led her to the beauty industry when she was approached to join a hair salon team — and she’s been there ever since. Working in the salon allows her to combine her strong customer service background with her love for connecting with people. She truly enjoys meeting new clients every day and helping create a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Meet Teresa
Teresa has been a hairstylist in Plainview for 34 years. Her clientele consists of women, men and children of all ages. Teresa also enjoys doing weddings, proms and any special occasion.
She said working at Salon MK is like coming home again. “I feel great working at this wonderful salon where people walk in as clients, and leave feeling like family.”
